What is that?: Maple Valley Apartments going up in south FargoFargo - This week’s “What is that?” question takes us to far south Fargo.
Bekah, who lives in the Maple Valley development, asked about a building being constructed on 36th Street and 60th Avenue South, just east of Interstate 29.
“Our whole neighborhood is curious as to what is going in there,” she writes.
The impressive concrete structure there now will be a 28-plex apartment building, the first of three to be built on the lot, according to Ivy Brown, office manager for American Builders, which is building the apartment for Lonesome Dove Properties.
Maple Valley Apartments will feature one-, two- and three-bedroom units with several different layouts. They are scheduled to open in August, Brown said.
According to an amenity sheet for the property, the building will include underground, heated parking; a picnic area in a courtyard; and will be pet friendly (breed restrictions) and smoke free throughout.
The apartment building will also include about 2,000 square feet of commercial space.
The estimated value of the building is $3.4 million.
