Fargo police break up loud party on north sideFARGO – Police cited the residents of a home on the city’s north side after breaking up a loud party shortly before midnight Friday.
Lt. Joel Vettel, of the Fargo police department, said officers responded to an anonymous report of a large party at about 11:38 Thursday in the 1400 block of 11th Street North.
Vettel said the officers said they could hear the noise, screaming and yelling from the party about a half-block away.
Officers dispersed the celebration and wrote citations to the homeowners for violation of the city’s loud party ordinance.
Vettel said that large, disruptive parties like these are much rarer than they were 15 years ago, when police made a concerted effort to cut down on a spate of large, noisy parties throughout the city.
