Grand Forks student wins Google Doodle award for ND

GRAND FORKS - A freshman at Grand Forks Red River High School was recognized Tuesday as North Dakota's Doodle 4 Google winner.

Camryn Schall’s doodle, based on the theme "If I could invent one thing to make the world a better place," was chosen as one of the best 50 drawings across the nation. She's the second student at the school to win the award in the past three years.

She'll be flying to Google Headquarters in California toward the end of May for a tour and a chance to win the top prize, a $30,000 college scholarship and her doodle featured on the U.S. Google.com homepage.

Google representatives put on a presentation at the school Tuesday and recognized Schall's work.
