Paradox plans Free Comic Book Day event

FARGO – Local shop Paradox Comics-N-Cards will celebrate Free Comic Book Day this weekend with a costume contest, a live podcast and activities throughout the day.

The store, located at 26 Roberts St. in downtown Fargo, will open at 9 a.m. Saturday to kick off its participation in the worldwide celebration.

More than 50 unique comics will be available for free, featuring characters such as Spider-Man and Hello Kitty.

The store will host a live podcast discussing today’s comics beginning at 11 a.m., and a superhero trivia contest is planned for 1 p.m.

A costume showcase begins at 3 p.m., and a costume contest with $250 in prizes starts at 4 p.m.

The day will end with a night of tabletop gaming.
