Kim Pladson, executive director of TNT Kid’s Fitness, Fargo, and Rory Beil, director of DMF ClassClayAlive, gave a presentation titled “Headstart to High School and Healthy Community Partnerships” at the National AAHPERD Conference held recently in St. Louis.
Their presentation was about collaborations with local organizations for an extension of the school day to keep children active and moving in after-school and evening time.
Others attending the conference were Nate Hendrickson and Ryan Williams of TNT Kid’s Fitness.
Stattelman certified as federal surveyor
Nick Stattelman, a surveyor with Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Fargo, has earned the status of certified federal surveyor.
He completed 120 hours of course work prepared by the Bureau of Land Management and passed the certification exam.
Originally from Clinton, Minn., Stattelman earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and he earned a certificate in land surveying from St. Cloud (Minn.) State University.
Smedsrud completes hospice certification
Roxanne Smedsrud has completed the Hospice and Palliative Nurse Certification through the National Board for Certification of Hospice and Palliative Nurses.
Smedsrud is a registered nurse and works as a clinical education specialist for Hospice of the Red River Valley. She has been with HRRV for 20 years. Smedsrud earned her registered nurse degree at St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Fargo.
