Weekend Watch: ‘Clybourne Park’‘Clybourne Park’
Thursday – Saturday
Bruce Norris’ 2012 Tony-winning play, “Clybourne Park,” covers a lot of ground while never changing addresses. The dark comedy opens in 1959 as white community leaders fret over the sale of a neighboring house to a black couple. Fifty years later finds the same neighborhood, now firmly African-American, anxious about gentrification. His response to “A Raisin in the Sun” tackles race, housing and the American dream, often with comic results. The show opens at 7:30 tonight and runs Thursday through Saturdays through May 17 at Theatre B, 716 Main Ave., Fargo. Tickets range from $5 to $20. (701) 729-8880.
