Style Profile: Hippie but feminine look suits nursing student
The 18-year-old Minnesota State Community and Technical College nursing student was excited to chat about her “hippie but super feminine and a little bit rough” style last week at Nichole’s Fine Pastry in Fargo.
Krabbenhoft wore a sampling of her festival fashion and shared that she was most excited to see English rock band Muse and American singer-songwriter ZZ Ward perform.
Describe your style. A little bit hippie but super feminine and a little bit rough.
What are you wearing today? Mostly Forever 21, but my hat is from American Eagle. My crop top is from Proper & Prim (in Fargo), and my boots are Dr. Martens.
Where do you shop? Proper & Prim is my favorite store ever. I like other downtown boutiques, T.J.Maxx and thrift stores.
Who are your style icons? Kate Moss, Sienna Miller and Nicole Richie.
What’s your favorite thing in your closet? This green jacket I’m wearing. It goes with everything.
What’s the most bizarre thing in your closet? I have some galaxy-print pants and a faux fur vest that reminds me of Cher.
What’s always in your handbag? Tons of lipstick. My favorite brand is Urban Decay.
What’s your best thrift store find? A ring with a big red stone in it that I found at Antiques on Broadway.
If you had an unlimited budget, what fashion item would you buy? A Free People trapeze dress. It’s about $600 and lace and so gorgeous.
What would you never wear? Shoulder pads.
What’s your dream job? To be a fashion blogger.
What’s your favorite quote? “Not all who wander are lost” from the poem “All that is gold does not glitter” by J. R. R. Tolkien.
