Timberwolves' Cunningham arrested for second time in three days

MINNEAPOLIS – Minnesota Timberwolves forward Dante Cunningham was arrested Sunday for the second time in three days.

Medina (Minn.) Police arrested the 26-year-old Cunningham on suspicion of terrorist threats Sunday and he was taken into custody, according to Hennepin County Jail records.

The Timberwolves issued the following statement:

“The situation with Dante Cunningham is very fluid and we continue to monitor all available information. We reiterate that the Minnesota Timberwolves do not condone the behavior described in the accusations. We continue to wait for the legal process to run its course and will have further comment when appropriate.”

On Thursday morning, Cunningham was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault.

Medina Police say they were called to a residence in Medina around 4 a.m. on Thursday. Police say Cunningham left the home shortly after the incident, but did not resist arrest when he returned.

Police say the woman involved did not need medical treatment for the alleged assault.
