Prostitution sting leads to charges for two menMOORHEAD – Two men are charged with soliciting sex for money and a third is likely to be charged, police said, after an undercover sting at a hotel here last week.
David Lawrence Skoglund, 61, of Canova, S.D., and Mark Donavan Hayes, 58, of Harwood, N.D., were charged with one count each of solicitation of prostitution, a misdemeanor.
Hayes is the information technology director at Forum Communications Co., which owns The Forum. He declined comment for this story.
Skoglund could not be reached at a phone number listed for him.
Their court appearances are set for April 29.
Lt. Tory Jacobson said the sting aimed at johns was done at a hotel in the 600 block of 30th Avenue South because of the hotel’s willingness to cooperate, not because of a prostitution problem there.
