Six promoted at Discovery Benefits

Discovery Benefits in Fargo has promoted Peter Turpin to participant services partner team lead, Suzanne LaFond to participant services benefits team lead, Ryan Tretter to participant services partner supervisor, Reece Richards to participant services team lead, Dana Amundson to participant services partner supervisor and Melissa Gray to participant services COBRA supervisor.

Turpin has been with Discovery Benefits since 2012 and was most recently a participant services specialist. He earned a bachelor’s degree in human services and Spanish.

LaFond has been with the company since 2013 and was most recently a participant services specialist. She attended Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Fergus Falls, the University of Washington, Stevens Point, and Minnesota State University Moorhead, where she studied sociology, dance and social work.

Tretter has been with DBI since 2012 and was most recently a participant services specialist. He studied business administration at North Dakota State University.

Richards has been with DBI since 2012 and was most recently a participant services specialist. He attended NDSU where he studied English.

Amundson has been with the company since 2011 and was previously a team lead on the PS partner team. He graduated from Rasmussen College with a bachelor’s degree in business management and also has an associate degree in business management and Internet marketing.

Gray has been with DBI since 2012 as a participant services specialist. She attended the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and Minnesota State Community and Technical College.


Wieser Willson hired at Ironclad Marketing

Ironclad Marketing, Fargo, has hired Amy Wieser Willson as vice president of client services.

She has 15 years of related professional experience including communications and marketing director for a statewide nonprofit and as the deputy public information officer for the North Dakota National Guard, where she served for more than 19 years.

Wieser Willson earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mass communication from North Dakota State University and a doctorate degree in holistic nutrition from the University of Natural Health.


VISIONBank hires Ystebo as credit analyst

David Ystebo has joined VISIONBank in Fargo as a credit analyst.

Ystebo is originally from Fargo, where he graduated from Oak Grove Lutheran School. He has three years of banking experience and is a graduate of North Dakota State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration.


Mraz named building, special project manager

Monte Mraz has been named manager of building services and special projects at Nor-Son, a consulting, design and construction services firm with offices in Fargo, Sioux Falls, S.D., Baxter, Minn., and Minneapolis.

Mraz brings more than 25 years of development and building industry experience to the firm.

His background includes 13 years of development and project management for the Cote Family Companies and 12 years of residential and resort development and general contracting experience.


Anderson Grossman promoted to specialist

The Fargo Housing and Redevelopment Authority has promoted Roxanne Anderson Grossman to accountant recovery specialist.

She has been with the Fargo Housing Authority since 2007.


Two hired at Pediatric Therapy Partners

Pediatric Therapy Partners, Fargo, has hired Roxann Larson as a billing/insurance specialist and Courtney Milbeck as an office aide.

Larson is a graduate of Interstate Business College and is certified in medical billing. She has 25 years of experience in medical coding, billing, collections and physician licensure and credentialing. She worked in a variety of settings that include physician practice, behavioral health, addiction/chemical dependency, radiology and sleep medicine.

Milbeck earned a bachelor’s degree in community health education and promotion and a minor in psychology from the University of Minnesota, Duluth.


Northwestern Bank hires retail banker

Shea Hittman has joined Northwestern Bank as a retail banker in the Dilworth branch.


Moore Engineering adds to West Fargo staff

Moore Engineering, a civil engineering and land surveying company with offices in West Fargo, Minot, N.D., Fergus Falls and Wadena, Minn., has hired Peter Krog as a building inspector and Jonathan Morgenroth as a transportation engineer. Both will work in Moore’s West Fargo office.

Krog earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He was previously employed as an inspector by the Ellingson Co.

Morgenroth earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from North Dakota State University. He was previously employed by SRF as an associate engineer.


Village hires Smestad as in-home therapist

Christina Smestad has joined The Village Family Service Center as an intensive in-home therapist in the Moorhead office.

She earned a master’s degree in couple and family therapy from North Dakota State University.


Elements hires Baxter in member services

Sadie Baxter has joined Elements Fitness for Women in Fargo in the member service department.

Baxter is a senior at Minnesota State University Moorhead where she is studying exercise science with a minor in strength and conditioning. She also has an associate degree from Minnesota State Community and Technical College.


General Equipment promotes 1, hires 1

General Equipment and Supplies, Fargo, has promoted Chad Ransom to customer finance coordinator and has hired Amy Hartze as a credit analyst.

Ransom was previously a credit analyst. Originally from Fargo, he attended North Dakota State University.

Hartze previously worked at Central Minnesota Credit Union as a personal banker. Originally from Fargo, Hartze attended the University of Mary.


Appareo Systems hires four new employees

Appareo Systems, Fargo, has hired Ann Marie Persico as an engineering operations manager, Cristal Lovejoy as an accounts receivable clerk, Brian Morlock as a director of hardware engineering and Michael Potratz as a manufacturing assembler.

Persico earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations and broadcast journalism. A native of Hudson, Wis., she previously worked at Nokia in Chicago.

Lovejoy is pursuing a business management degree at North Dakota State University. She is a native of St. Cloud, Minn.

Morlock earned a master’s degree in electrical engineering from NDSU. A native of Pettibone, N.D., he previously worked at Phoenix International and Packet Digital.

Potratz earned an associate degree in electronics technology at the Southeast Technical Institute, Sioux Falls, S.D. His hometown is Grand Forks.


Core Consulting Group hires three employees

Core Consulting Group, Fargo, has hired Lynne Spaeth and Laura Woyen as client service managers and Dana Johnson as an administrative assistant.

Spaeth has over 25 years of client service experience and was previously employed by the Tax Law Office. She has a paralegal degree from Interstate Business College and a bachelor’s degree in music education from Valley City (N.D.) State University.

Woyen has over 10 years of client service experience and was previously employed by the Tax Law Office. She has a bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Johnson has over 20 years of client service and building management experience and was previously employed by Lake Agassiz Development Group.


Cornerstone promotes Wiczek, hires Mack

Cornerstone Bank has promoted Josh Wiczek to customer service representative/teller at the branch on South University Drive and has hired Lindsay Mack as a human resources director at the branch on 45th Street South, both in Fargo.

Wiczek has been with Cornerstone Bank since October.

Mack has over six years of human resources and accounting experience. She has a Professional in Human Resources designation and a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in business administration.


Freedom Resource Center hires Robinson

Freedom Resource Center for Independent Living, Fargo, has hired Kelsey Robinson as the nursing facility transition coordinator.

She will assist nursing facility residents in Cass and Richland counties in North Dakota.

Robinson is originally from Walnut Grove, Minn., and earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from Minnesota State University Moorhead and a master’s degree in social work from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.

She was previously employed at Connections of Moorhead as a residential services supervisor.


Heartland hires Millette in retirement services

Monica Millette has joined Heartland Trust Co., Fargo, as vice president of its retirement services division.

Millette has 18 years of experience in the financial services field, the last eight dedicated to employer-based retirement plans.

She has earned the Qualified 401(k) Administrator designation from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries.


Goroski joins Prudential Premier Real Estate

Mary Goroski has joined the sales team at Prudential Premier Real Estate, Fargo.

She has 17 years of experience in the real estate industry and has been a licensed real estate agent for nine years.


Media Productions names audio engineer

Tim Italiano has joined the live event production team at Media Productions, Fargo, as an audio engineer and live event specialist.

Italiano has more than 10 years of technical theater and live show production experience. He previously was the technical director at Fargo North High School Theater and has also worked with other Fargo-Moorhead theaters and production studios, including the Fargo Theatre and West Fargo High School Theater. He also was the lead sound engineer and a lighting assistant at Trollwood Performing Arts School.
