Appareo Systems hires engineers, physicist

Appareo Systems in Fargo has hired Nate Schneck as a test engineer, Ross Eickhoff as an electronics design engineer and Marshall Bremer as an applied physicist.

Schneck earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from North Dakota State University. Originally from Hillsboro, N.D., he previously worked in Fargo at the Center for Nanoscale Science and Engineering as a research engineer.

Eickhoff earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from NDSU. A native of Canby, Minn., he previously worked at Phoenix International as a power electronics engineer.

Bremer earned a bachelor’s degree in physics from NDSU, and a doctorate in physics from Michigan State University. A native of Fargo, he previously worked at CNSE as a research specialist.


Leher named beverage manager at Ramada

Walter Leher has joined the Ramada Plaza & Suites in Fargo as beverage manager. He will oversee beverage service for all hotel events and Basie’s Restaurant and Lounge.

Leher is a Fargo native. He earned an associate degree in computer science from the North Dakota State College of Science and a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Mary.

He previously held supervisor and manager positions at Jim Lauerman’s 1 & 2 Saloons, Godfather’s Pizza and Drayton Foods. He has sales and marketing experience with SEI, Microsoft and iLink Systems.


Brown & Saenger hires Fargo branch manager

Brown & Saenger has named Randy Schmitz as branch manager of Brown & Saenger in Fargo.

Schmitz has several years of sales, management and supervisory experience. His most recent position was as the territory sales representative/manager for Cole Papers, Fargo.


Jack Chivers Realty adds Paula Trom as agent

Jack Chivers Realty in Detroit Lakes, Minn., has added Paula Trom to its team of real estate agents. She has lived in the Detroit Lakes area for more than 20 years.

Trom graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in public relations and communications. She has 25 years of marketing and sales experience.

Six new employees at Pedigree Technologies

Pedigree Technologies in Fargo has added six new employees. They are Becky Van Raden, trainer and software consultant; Katie Welle, relationship manager; Kimberly Dale, lead generation representative; Chris Young, inside sales; Jacob Danielson, hardware installation technician; and Dennis Papke, quality assurance engineer.

Van Raden has more than eight years of experience in the field, previously working as a revenue cycle trainer at Essentia Health. Van Raden has a degree in education from Concordia College.

Welle has five years of customer service experience and previously worked as a patient account lead at Sanford Health. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in business administration from Globe University.

Dale previously worked as a patient accounts representative at Sanford Health and has a degree in human development and family sciences from North Dakota State University.

Young has five years of sales experience, two in machine-to-machine, and has degrees in business administration and marketing from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Danielson previously worked at Semi-Trailer Sales as a shop assistant and worked with trailers and electrical systems. He is a corporal in the United States Marine Corps and is a member of the Cass County Sheriff’s Reserve Unit.

Papke has more than 13 years of quality assurance experience. He has served as a quality assurance team leader, is a certified software quality engineer from the American Society of Quality and a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute.


Knopp hired at TRN as senior closing agent

LeighAnn Knopp has joined TRN Abstract and Title in Fargo as senior closing agent. She has 11 years of experience in the title insurance industry and is a licensed title insurance agent in North Dakota and Minnesota.

Knopp graduated from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management.


Anderson named financial support tech

Lynn Anderson has been hired by AgCountry Farm Credit Services in the Lisbon, N.D., office as a financial services support technician.

She previously worked in the insurance industry for more than 10 years and during that time earned her property and casualty insurance license.


VP of retail banking, mortgage lending hired

Northwestern Bank, Moorhead, has hired Wade Vogl as vice president of retail banking specializing in mortgage lending.

Vogl has more than 20 years of lending experience. He has retail sales and finance experience in the automobile and recreational vehicle industry and experience in underwriting commercial leases and most recently worked in mortgage loan refinance refinancing.


Guthmiller joins Dakota Carrier Network

Dakota Carrier Network has hired Jennifer Guthmiller as a support representative. She will provide services in the Bismarck and Fargo offices.

Guthmiller has more than 15 years of experience.


Ronald McDonald House hires 1, promotes 1

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Red River Valley, Fargo, has hired Caitlin Rakow as north house manager and Erica Johnsrud has been promoted to development director.

Rakow has a master’s degree in social work from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. She previously worked as a direct support professional at Stepping Stones Resource Center.

Johnsrud has been with Ronald McDonald House since 2010 as development coordinator. She is a graduate of Concordia College.


Optometrist joins Dr. Levin’s Eyesite

Tracie Teig Malsom has joined Dr. Levin’s Eyesite on 43rd at 1695 43rd St. S., Fargo.

She earned her doctorate of optometry at Indiana University School of Optometry and practiced in Indiana for seven years.

Her specialty areas are pre- and post-op surgical patients and the treatment of patients with macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.


Fargo Housing hires office specialist

The Fargo Housing and Redevelopment Authority has hired Breanna Halvorson as an office specialist/receptionist.

Halvorson previously worked for Express Pros and Preference Personnel as a temporary assignment employee accepting outside employment in office and reception.


Kilbourne Group adds two team members

Kilbourne Group, Fargo, has added hired Cassandra Maland as marketing coordinator and Courtland Miller as a market research analyst.

Maland graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications.

Miller graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.


Gemar joins Dakota Medical Foundation

Janet Gemar has joined Dakota Medical Foundation in Fargo as executive assistant to the president and development assistant.

Gemar has extensive experience in office administration and processing of financial data in the banking and investment industries.

She is a graduate of the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton with an associate of science degree.


Absolute Marketing hires marketing adviser

Absolute Marketing Group, Fargo, has hired Kyle Richardson as a marketing adviser. He has 24 years of experience in marketing, media and sales-related positions, including the past seven years as an area manager for MillerCoors.

A native of Kansas City, Mo., Richardson has lived in Fargo since 1993. He graduated from the Missouri School of Journalism.


Kernosky hired as pre-production assistant

Eid-Co Homes, Fargo, has hired Amanda Kernosky as a pre-production assistant.

Kernosky is a graduate of The Art Institutes International Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in interior design and has extensive training in AutoCAD, space planning, design development and construction documents.

She interned with Martha O’Hara Interiors of Minneapolis and previously worked as a sales lead with Pier 1 Imports.


Redding joins Baker Landscaping

Chris Redding is replacing Ryan Hoss as head of the Baker Garden and Gift landscaping division.

Hoss is retiring after 41 years with the business.

Redding earned a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture and environmental design at North Dakota State University.

He previously worked for 19 years as the landscape manager for Ole’s Nursery in Moorhead.


TMI Hospitality hires Kolrud, Hahnert

TMI Hospitality in Fargo has hired Melissa Kolrud as an accounts payable specialist and Kelli Hahnert as a capital improvements project assistant.

Before joining TMI, Melissa worked for Sanford Health in the accounts payable department.

After graduating from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications, Hahnert was a communications intern for Kilbourne Group in Fargo. She most recently served as office administrator for APM, Fargo.


Nardini hires Wang as service technician

Nardini Fire Equipment, Fargo, has hired Peder Wang as a service technician.

Originally from Moorhead, he has worked for Pepsi Beverages for the past seven years.


Discovery Benefits promotes six, hires two

Discovery Benefits in Fargo has promoted Lindsay Johnson to operations manager of COBRA and carrier, Jake Starkey to operations team lead, Leah Lehn to manager of account management benefit services, Jennifer Wilkowski to carrier operations supervisor, Cortney Feickert to participant services partner manager and John Thome to participant services COBRA supervisor,

Samantha Gehrig has been hired as a COBRA/billing solutions renewal specialist and Carissa Engstrom as a benefits account manager.

Johnson joined Discovery Benefits as a claims administrator in 2007. She had held various positions within the claims team, most recently a claims supervisor. She graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2006.

Starkey graduated from MSUM with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He joined Discovery Benefits in May as a marketing coordinator.

Lehn graduated from North Dakota State University where she earned bachelor’s degrees in marketing and management. She also has an associate degree in business administration. She has more than 12 years of customer service experience and was previously a participant services partner.

Wilkowski attended Minnesota State University Moorhead and started her employment with Discovery Benefits in 2010 as a COBRA carrier relations specialist.

Feickert has been with the company since 2012. Most recently she was a supervisor on the PS COBRA team. She graduated from NDSU with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and will graduate in May with a master’s degree in business administration and management.

Thome has been with Discovery Benefits since 2012 and was most recently a participant services specialist. He graduated from Southeast Technical Institute with an associate degree in marketing.
