Letter: Republican Party addicted to Koch

The Affordable Care Act benefits all Americans, including those who don’t need it. As a true conservative, I praise President Obama for standing up for America. Health care is a right, not a privilege.

The ultra-conservative Koch Brothers, billionaires who have never had to worry about where their next meal might come from or how to pay the rent or provide for their children, have spent many millions of dollars trying to repeal the Affordable Care Act in order to hurt Americans and take away their health care. They also oppose a minimum wage for workers. I don’t know about you, but that tells me all I need to know.

As Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has pointed out, “Right now, because of people like the two brothers, the rich are getting richer, the poor are getting poorer, and the middle class is getting squeezed out of existence,” he said. “They’re against everything that’s good for America today.”

It’s time for North Dakotans and Minnesotans to stand tall with true conservatives and support the Affordable Care Act, Social Security, Medicare, and the American way. I’ve been outraged to learn recently that these false conservatives want to take Social Security away from Americans who have paid into it for 30, 40, even 50 years.

The Koch brothers and the Republican party that march to their orders want to make America like Russia. As a true conservative, I refuse to capitulate to the goose step policies of these Koch brothers. I want to live in America, not in Russia. The Koch brothers can emigrate if they prefer Russia, where the powerful always get their way It’s time to stand up tall for what’s right and what’s American: equal rights for all, not just for the few who take their marching orders from the Koch brothers. Make your voice heard. Vote for true conservatives: vote Democrat.
