Central Cass prevails in Class B third-place game

FARGO – Senior center Faith Dooley scored 11 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead Central Cass to a 33-22 victory over Beach in the third-place game of the North Dakota Class B state girls basketball tournament Saturday at the Fargodome.

Senior guard Abby Cramer added eight points and three assists for the No. 8-ranked Squirrels (24-4).

Senior guard Hailee Farstveet scored eight points and added five rebounds for the No. 7-ranked Buccaneers (23-4).

Junior forward Fallyn Freije connected for a 3-pointer with 16 second sremaining to help Lakota-Edmore a 40-39 win over Kidder County in the fifth-place game.

Freije finished with 23 points – 20 coming in the second half – and 13 rebounds for the No. 6-ranked Raiders (20-7).

Senior guard Sadie Rohrich finished with nine points and nine rebounds for the Pirates (20-7).
