Strand’s 45 points propel Fergus Falls to third place

ST. PAUL – Bailey Strand scored 45 points as Fergus Falls defeated Minneapolis Washburn 72-62 in the third-place game of the Minnesota Class 3A state girls basketball tournament Saturday at the Gangelhoff Center.

Brianna Rasmusson added nine points and nine rebounds for the Otters.

Coley Chase led Washburn with 18 points.
