Bemidji hosts 'World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade'BEMIDJI, Minn. - “The World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade” is scheduled for Monday in downtown Bemidji. It goes 78 paces from Keg n’ Cork on Beltrami Avenue to Brigid’s Cross Pub, also on Beltrami Avenue. The two Irish-themed pubs are across the street from each other and sponsor the event.
Events kick off with a “swooshing” competition at 5 p.m. Keg n’ Cork owner Mitch Rautio said the sport tests people’s coordination by having them walk in teams of four on two-by-four beams.
The parade itself begins at 5:30 p.m. at Keg n’ Cork.
