Sheeley earns national hospice certification

Katie Sheeley, a registered nurse with Hospice of the Red River Valley, Fargo, has earned the hospice and palliative nurse certification through the National Board for Certification of Hospice and Palliative Nurses.

Sheeley earned an associate’s degree at the North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton.

Curry attends club, resort chef conference

Dotty Curry, executive chef at the Fargo Country Club, attended the recent Club & Resort Business’ Chef to Chef conference in San Antonio.

The conference brought the worlds of management and cuisine together with a panel discussion, presentations and demonstrations by successful and innovative chefs.

Curry has worked at the Fargo Country Club for 35 years in various capacities. She attended Lake Region Junior College, Devils Lake, N.D., and Valley City (N.D.) State University and she earned a degree in music and art. She also studied computer science at North Dakota State University.

She has National American Culinary Federation certification as an executive chef and serves on the advisory board of Minnesota State Community and Technical College.

Jeffries admitted to state bar in Arizona

Richard N. Jeffries, formerly of Fargo, has been admitted to the State Bar Association of Arizona and is now a licensed attorney with the Shorall, McGoldrick & Brinkmann law firm in Phoenix.

Jeffries practiced law in the Fargo-Moorhead area for 37 years until he semi-retired in 2007. He then became an adjunct professor at Minnesota State University Moorhead, where he continues to teach a personal injury class in the paralegal department.

Buchholz earns certified legal manager status

Peggy J. Buchholz, office manager at the Ohnstad Twichell law firm, West Fargo, is the first in North Dakota to achieve certified legal manager status.

Buchholz earned the certification by meeting all educational requirements and by taking an in-depth examination in the areas of human resources management, financial management, accounting, facilities management, the legal industry, marketing and operations management.
