NDSU to host NCAA selection show watch party SundayFARGO – The North Dakota State University athletic department will host an NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament selection show watch party with a special announcement at the Bison Sports Arena on Sunday.
The event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m., and the matchups for the 68-team field will be announced on CBS starting at 5 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early. At 4:30 p.m. prior to the airing of the selection show, there will be an announcement regarding naming rights for the NDSU basketball court as the school begins its transition into the new Scheels Center at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex, the school said in a release.
Locations for the second and third rounds of the NCAA tournament will also be announced during the selection show. The eight host cities are Buffalo, N.Y.; Milwaukee, Wis.; Orlando, Fla.; Spokane, Wash.; Raleigh, N.C.; San Antonio, Texas; San Diego, Calif.; and St. Louis, Mo.
The tournament opens with the "First Four" on March 18-19 in Dayton, Ohio. The second round will be played March 20-21, with the third round to follow on March 22-23.
NDSU (25-6) swept The Summit League's regular season and tournament championships, culminating with a 60-57 victory over Fort Wayne in the league championship game on Tuesday night to clinch the school's second bid to the NCAA tournament.
