Letter: Please, no alcoholic drinks in Fargo movie theaters

I am a senior at West Fargo High School. From a teenager’s point of view, I would like to give my input to the controversy of whether alcohol should be permitted in movie theaters.

Although the revenue for the theaters and beverage companies would be greatly improved, the overall effect would be negative. Since I am underage, I view the movie theater as a relaxing place to peacefully enjoy a movie, not a place to put up with an obnoxious man in the front who has had too much to drink. Not a place where I would want to spend my Friday night, in fear of being pressured into doing things I don’t want to do, especially after they get into their car.

Allowing alcohol to be served in movie theaters may be enjoyed by a small portion of our residents, but overall there are too many risks.
