Fargo man gets nearly 9 years in bank robbery
FARGO – A Fargo man was sentenced Thursday to almost nine years in prison for robbing a local bank last year.
Abraham Clifford Wilson, 47, made away with $2,500 from Cornerstone Bank on Jan. 8, 2013, after threatening a teller with a gun.
Wilson escaped in a stolen car and led police on a high-speed chase, then fled on foot, before police arrested him, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
U.S. District Judge Ralph Erickson sentenced Wilson to 105 months in prison, with three years of supervised release. Wilson also was ordered to repay Cornerstone Bank the $2,500.
