Fargo Housing hires two, promotes two

The Fargo Housing and Redevelopment Authority has hired Melanie Maslo as the ROSS Service Coordinator and Reed Sabbe as property manager for the scattered sites properties.

Meliha Cavkusic has been promoted to property manager for the Lashkowitz High Rise and Randy Knutson to mechanical operations specialist for the high rise.

Maslo most recently worked for Southeast Human Service Center as a case manager and Lutheran Social Services as an outreach team lead.

Sabbe previously worked for Goldmark Property Management, managing several different properties and supervising staff.

Cavkusic has been with Fargo Housing since 2007 managing the scattered sites properties and serving as the workforce safety coordinator.

Knutson has been with Fargo Housing since 2001 where he has worked in building maintenance for the tax credit properties.


Three promoted at VISIONBank in Fargo

VISIONBank in Fargo has promoted Lyndee Evavold to senior real estate processor, Kristi Kelley to audit and risk management specialist and Chantel Joyce to operations assistant.

Evavold joined VISIONBank in 2007 as an operations assistant and was promoted to mortgage loan processor. She is originally from Ashby, Minn., and has six years of banking experience. She is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead where she earned a bachelor’s degree in finance.

Kelley joined VISIONBank in 2008 as an operations assistant. She is originally from Hankinson, N.D., and earned an associate’s degree in banking and financial services from the North Dakota State College of Science. She has 14 years of banking experience.

Joyce is a graduate of North Dakota State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in communications. She has four years of banking experience and she joined VISIONBank in 2012 as a teller and was promoted to client service representative.


Gate City promotes several to officer posts

Gate City Bank has promoted Jay Krabbenhoft to senior vice president, Jennifer Dirk, Roseann Lund, Sherri Smith and Kevin Warner to vice presidents, and Stephanie Anton, Brady Duffy, Justin Dunn, Amy Durbin, Laurie Kennedy, Julie Lamb, Lisa Liken, Janet Mindt and Rae Ann Schaan to assistant vice presidents.

Krabbenhoft is the office services manager and security officer at the bank’s corporate office in Fargo. He has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He joined Gate City Bank in 1994 as purchasing clerk and was named assistant office services manager in 1999 and assistant vice president in 2000.

Dirk is the deposit administration and servicing manager at the bank’s corporate office. She has been with Gate City Bank since 1994. A native of Redfield, S.D., she is a graduate of the University of Minnesota.

Lund is the residential mortgage lending manager at the bank’s corporate office. She is a graduate of the North Dakota School of Banking and Northland Community and Technical College where she earned a degree in banking and finance. Lund has been with Gate City Bank since 1991.

Smith is the office manager at the bank’s two Moorhead locations. She earned a finance degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She has been employed with Gate City Bank for 17 years.

Warner is the business and personal lending manager at the bank’s corporate office. He is a graduate of North Dakota State University and has been employed with Gate City Bank for 12 years.

Anton is a personal loan officer at the bank’s Mandan office. She is a graduate of North Dakota State University and has been with Gate City Bank for six years in customer service roles.

Duffy is a personal banking supervisor at the bank’s South University Drive branch in Fargo. Duffy received a business administration degree from Valley City (N.D.) State University. He has been employed with Gate City Bank for 11 years.

Dunn is a personal banking supervisor at the bank’s north Fargo branch. He received a bachelor’s degree in finance from MSUM and he has been employed at Gate City Bank for six years.

Durbin is the marketing manager at the bank’s corporate office. A native of West Fargo, she earned a degree in accounting at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead. She has 14 years of experience in the marketing field.

Kennedy is the senior accountant at the bank’s corporate office. A native of Valley City, Kennedy graduated from VCSU with a degree in business administration. She has been employed with Gate City Bank for 30 years.

Lamb is the bank’s Devils Lake branch manager. A native of Petersburg, N.D., she earned a degree in human resource management from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Mary.

Liken is the senior mortgage loan officer at the bank’s Bismarck downtown office. A native of Sioux Falls, S.D., Liken graduated from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, with a degree in mathematics and a minor in business with an emphasis in finance. She has 21 years of experience in the financial industry.

Mindt is a customer service and sales supervisor at the bank’s West Fargo Veterans Boulevard office. She has been with Gate City Bank since 2004. Mindt received a degree in business administration from the University of Mary.

Schaan is the customer service and sales supervisor at the bank’s Williston branch. A native of Williston, Schaan has been with Gate City Bank since 2003.


Northwestern Bank promotes Fritz

Northwestern Bank has promoted Patty Fritz to assistant vice president – retail banking at its Moorhead location.

Fritz started her banking career as a customer service representative before moving into lending. She has 10 years of banking experience.


Cass County Electric promotes two

Cass County Electric has promoted Jodi Bullinger to manager of engineering and Troy Knutson to manager of technical services.

Bullinger will assume a leadership role over all the construction and maintenance design, planning and field work of Cass County Electric Cooperative’s system. She has worked for the company for nearly 20 years.

Knutson will manage a department consisting of apparatus, power quality and SCADA technicians. He has worked for the company for 11 years.


Fargo Air Museum hires one, promotes one

The Fargo Air Museum has hired Scott C. Fletcher as director of administration, fundraising and donor relations and promoted Courtney Ficek to assistant director of communications.

Fletcher previously served as the chief operating officer for aviation at Northland Community and Technical College, Thief River Falls, Minn. His career also included various leadership positions with US Airways, Mesa and ProAir Airlines and in the U.S. Air Force.

Ficek earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Minnesota State University Moorhead and previously interned as a graphic designer with the Fargo Air Museum.


CoreLink Administrative Solutions hires Winfrey

CoreLink Administrative Solutions of Fargo has hired Melissa Winfrey as a test engineer.

Winfrey earned a bachelor’s degree in management of health informatics and a master’s degree in art from Bellevue (Neb.) University. She has seven years of experience in the health industry, where she has worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield – Nebraska and as a contracted employee for CoreLink prior to accepting her current position.


Lakeland Mental Health Center hires Lake

Cari Lake has joined the school-based services team at Lakeland Mental Health Center, Moorhead.

Lake earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She previously worked as a program coordinator and forensic interviewer at Red River Children’s Advocacy Center and as a child protection specialist for Becker County Human Services.


Nagel joins FM Title as a closing officer

Dani Nagel has joined FM Title as a closing officer.

Nagel earned a bachelor’s degree in business from North Dakota State University and worked for a local bank for six years before joining FM Title.


Moorhead accounting firm hires Filler, Mastel

Doreen Filler and Cherie Mastel have joined the staff of Fiebiger, Swanson, West & Co. Both will be working in the firm’s Moorhead office.

Filler is a supervisor, focusing primarily on business taxation and financial reporting. She graduated from North Dakota State University with bachelor’s degrees in accounting and business administration. She is a certified public accountant and she has worked in public accounting for over 15 years.

Mastel is a staff accountant, focusing primarily on business and individual taxation. She graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with degrees in accounting and paralegal.


J&M hires accountant, customer service rep

J&M Printing has hired McKenzie Taylor as an accountant in the Fargo office and Tanya Wolff as a customer service representative in the company’s office in Gwinner, N.D.

Taylor is a graduate of the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. She worked with Gene Gallagher & Associates in Fargo, and later for Fabricators Unlimited and most recently with Robert Gibb & Sons.

Wolff was previously an administrative assistant for seven years with the Sargent Central Public School District, Forman, N.D.


DFC Consultants hires accountant/consultant

Amy Hannesson has joined DFC Consultants in Fargo as an accountant/consultant.

She graduated from North Dakota State University and was formerly a partner account manager for five years at APAC, a Microsoft vendor.


Two join Eide Bailly staff in Fargo office

Candace Boyer and Dyan Hoffman have joined Eide Bailly’s office in Fargo.

Boyer is a reimbursement associate. She is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Hoffman is a physician coding senior associate. She is a graduate of the North Dakota College of Science. She has six years of coding/information management experience in a critical access hospital.


Link hired to lead labor group efforts in ND

The Laborers District Council of Minnesota and North Dakota has hired McLean County (N.D.) Commissioner Pamela Link to lead efforts to build membership in North Dakota.

Link will be the first person to hold the title of business development and governmental relations director for the LDC. The newly-created position is intended to provide oversight for the LDC’s political and communications work in the state.

Link graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in mass communications. She worked as a journalist before earning a master’s degree in management and business from the University of Mary. She later started her own communications consulting firm and has served as executive director of the North Dakota Construction Council since 2012.


U.S. Bank hires one, promotes one in Lisbon

U.S. Bank has hired Nicole Reinke as sales and service coordinator for the branch in Lisbon, N.D., and Nikki Kenyon has been promoted to branch manager in Lisbon.

Reinke has over two years of banking experience. She is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a degree in management.

Kenyon has been with U.S. Bank for 18 years, most recently as sales and service coordinator in the Lisbon branch. She is a graduate of Concordia College with a degree in business administration.


Courts Plus hires group exercise supervisor

Jamie Smith has been hired as group fitness supervisor at Courts Plus, 3491 University Drive S., Fargo.

Smith has 15 years of group fitness and personal training experience. She has a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Minnesota State University Moorhead and is also a certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor.


Wimmer’s Diamonds adds seven employees

Wimmer’s Diamonds at West Acres in Fargo has hired Kristen Anderson, Katie Gregoire, Kim Larson, Amanda Oberg, Kathryn Olson and Sara Doda as sales associates and Alex Bernhardson as shipping coordinator.

Anderson attended Concordia College and Larson earned a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Olson earned a bachelor’s degree from Concordia College. Doda and Oberg attend North Dakota State University and Gregoire attends Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Bernhardson is a senior at Fargo South High School.

KLJ, an engineering, surveying and planning firm, has hired TJ Trujillo as a surveyor in the company’s Moorhead office.

Trujillo has more than 20 years of surveying experience.


Office assistant hired at Edward Jones branch

Laura C. Lindblad has joined the Edward Jones office at 208 Sheyenne St., West Fargo, as a branch office assistant.


Whipple promoted at Bell State Bank & Trust

Casey Whipple has been promoted to vice president/correspondent credit manager at Bell State Bank & Trust, 3100 13th Ave. S., Fargo.

Originally from Sidney, Mont., Whipple earned a bachelor’s degree in financial management from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and he has worked in the banking field for 13 years.

He started his career at Bank of the West and has been with Bell State Bank & Trust for nine years.


Gala co-chairpersons, lead sponsor named

The 18th annual Spring Gala at the Plains Arts Museum in Fargo will be May 3.

Co-chairpersons for the event are Arlette and Richard Preston, and Jo and Birch Burdick. They will guide overall planning to benefit education programs at the museum. The presenting sponsor is Border States Electric.

SRF Consulting in Fargo promotes three

SRF Consulting Group has promoted Stacy Flaten and Scott Harmstead to the associate level and Cindy Gray has been promoted to principal status. All work in the firm’s Fargo office.

Flaten is a professional engineer with 14 years of experience in the civil engineering industry, including design, inspection, materials sampling, surveying and management of numerous road construction and bridge projects.

Harmstead is a transportation planner with eight years of experience in land use planning and zoning. He also has extensive experience in the development of comprehensive and other long-range plans.

Gray has 28 years of experience working on site plans and development review, land use, growth management, zoning, comprehensive planning, park planning, and transportation planning. She earned a master’s degree in community and regional planning from North Dakota State University and is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners.
