Letter: Sanford Health should be ashamed of itselfSanford Health administration brought shame on themselves by keeping the abortion center in Fargo open.
Let’s be clear about two important facts. Fact 1. Under the new law, the abortion center in Fargo could only remain open if the abortionists there had admitting privileges at a hospital. Sanford was under no legal or moral obligation to allow admitting privileges it had not granted in the past and which St. Luke’s and MeritCare had not granted in their respective histories.
Fact 2. Any woman injured by an abortionist would be admitted for care at any hospital in the area, whether or not the abortionist had admitting privileges at Sanford. Sanford Health has entered into the abortion business.
Sanford administrators can stand by their decision and ignore the good employees of their hospital and the general public they serve. Did they ask either their employees or their patients about this radical decision? I cannot support Sanford. There is an option for those disgusted by the administration of Sanford.
There is also an option for Sanford to return to their historical policy and remove the shame they have brought upon themselves
