Four new employees at Discovery Benefits

Discovery Benefits in Fargo has hired Corey Backlund and Mike Chadwick as information technology network specialists, Alex Samanta as a .Net developer and Tarah Leeser as a COBRA/billing solutions senior account manager.


NDSU Development Foundation appoints 2

The North Dakota State University Development Foundation/Alumni Association has appointed Nonda Mack as chief of staff and Julie Wanzek as coordinator of customer care.

Mack served the NDSU Alumni Association and Development Foundation in previous capacities. She earned a bachelor’s degree in human resource and development at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and has experience in staffing and small-business management.

A graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead, Wanzek also completed the Leadership Fargo program. She has experience in sales and customer service, most recently serving as senior retirement consultant/ business development at Touchmark Retirement Community, Fargo.


Mills joins Park Co. as sales associate

Mark W. Mills has joined Park Co. Realtors in Fargo as a sales associate.

Mills attended North Dakota State University. He worked for more than 26 years in the financial services industry before becoming an associate broker at an Indianapolis real estate agency.

He is licensed in North Dakota and Minnesota.


Geiermann joins West Fargo law firm

Jacob L. Geiermann has joined the Ohnstad Twichell Law Firm in West Fargo as an associate attorney.

Geiermann earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. He clerked for the Schneider Law Firm, Fargo, and the Schulz, Geiermann, Bergeson & Guler Law Firm, Bismarck. He also interned for the Legislative Council during the 63rd North Dakota Legislative Assembly.

He concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, trusts, tax and business law.


Pedigree Technologies hires four

Pedigree Technologies of Fargo has hired Admira Peco as a support specialist; Clay Kraby as a marketing manager; Stacie Folmer as an installation coordinator; and Brian Gallagher as a marketing analyst intern.

Peco previously worked as an IT help desk specialist at Sanford Medical Center. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in computer science at North Dakota State University.

Kraby has more than six years of experience in the marketing profession, most recently as the marketing director of RealTruck.com. He graduated from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, with a degree in graphic design.

Folmer has more than three years of experience in the field as well as 14 years of customer service experience. She previously worked for Call Center Lead.


Fargo insurance agency hires Gaard as agent

Devin Gaard has joined Hektner-Lybeck-Erickson Insurance, Fargo, as an agent specializing in commercial insurance.

He recently received his certified insurance counselor designation and he has nine years of experience in the insurance industry.


Interior designer joins Christianson’s in Fargo

Christianson’s Business Furniture, Fargo, has hired Stacy Halama as an interior designer.

She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a bachelor’s degree in interior design and minors in business administration and retailing.


VISIONBank promotes Bjornson and Thompson

VISIONBank of Fargo has promoted Jackie Bjornson to operations specialist and Nina Thompson to credit assistant.

Bjornson earned a degree in business administration from North Dakota State University and has been with VISIONBank since 2006.

Thompson joined the bank in September as a teller. She is currently studying accounting and finance at NDSU and has five years of banking experience.


Graunke promoted to closing manager

Denise Graunke has been promoted to closing manager at TRN Abstract & Title, Fargo.

Graunke has 12 years of experience in the title and abstract industry and has been a North Dakota licensed abstracter for nine years.

She has served as president of the North Dakota Land Title Association, and is currently co-chairwoman of the Red River Valley Property Records Education Partners.


Re/Max Legacy Realty hires three agents

Re/Max Legacy Realty in Fargo has hired Maria Miles, Isaac Handegard and Kathy Adams as licensed real estate agents.

Miles earned a bachelor’s degree in information technology and manufacturing management at Minnesota State University Moorhead. She began working in the real estate industry in 2006 as commercial real estate development director for 2nd Wind Exercise Equipment in Eden Prairie, Minn. Since relocating to Fargo-Moorhead in 2009, she has been an active real estate agent specializing in residential home sales.

Handegard graduated from Rasmussen College in 2013 with an associate degree in business management. He has worked in the home building industry for 12 years and service industry for two.

Adams has more than 16 years of real estate experience, specializing in residential sales.


Welle joins Kennelly O’Keefe

Stephen Welle has joined the Kennelly O’Keefe law firm in Fargo.

His practice will focus on criminal defense and civil litigation.

Welle graduated from the Curtis L. Carlson School of Management and University of Colorado Law School. He most recently served as judicial law clerk to Judge Joseph A. Evans of the Minnesota 7th Judicial District.


Koenders joins Western State Bank

Kim Koenders has joined Western State Bank of West Fargo as a business banking assistant.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in health service administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead and previously worked as an operations team lead for Discovery Benefits.


Nelson joins Fiebiger, Swanson, West & Co.

Jennifer Nelson has joined Fiebiger, Swanson West & Co. as an accounting technician at their Fargo location.

She will specialize in small-business accounting and payroll. Nelson graduated with a degree in administrative support from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Detroit Lakes, in 2001.


CableOne Advertising hires Scallon

Holly Scallon has joined CableOne Advertising as an advertising sales account manager.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from North Dakota State University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Mary.


Northwestern Bank promotes Molstre

Benjamin Molstre has been promoted to assistant vice president-director of information technology at Northwestern Bank in Moorhead.

He joined Northwestern as a customer service representative, transitioned into a lending position, and was the director of information technology before his promotion. He has more than 10 years of banking experience.


Bell State Bank & Trust promotes two

Bell State Bank & Trust has promoted Ryan Johnson and Gina Jaroszewski to personal banking officers at its 15 Broadway location in Fargo.

Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Concordia College and has two years of banking experience.

Jaroszewski earned a degree in sports and recreation management at the University of Minnesota, Crookston, and has nearly three years of banking experience.


Berry joins Early Intervention Partners

Katie Berry has joined Early Intervention Partners of Fargo as an early interventionist.

Berry earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and elementary inclusive education at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

She previously worked at area schools and for Our Redeemer Christian Childcare Center in Moorhead.

The Credit and Collections Bureau of North Dakota has promoted Virginia Paul, Vicki Lynn, Chris Green, Amy White, Tom Fox, Robert Perry and Derrick Graves to collection associate in its Fargo office.


TMI Hospitality hires Biersbach

TMI Hospitality, Fargo, has hired Jon Biersbach as its search engine content specialist.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and broadcasting at North Dakota State University.


Weintraub named chief of staff at Fargo VA

Fargo Veterans Affairs Health Care System has named Dr. Breton Weintraub chief of staff.

Weintraub graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He served as a staff physician and chief of primary care at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, Wis., before joining the Fargo VA in 2012.


Oestreich joins FM Area Foundation

The FM Area Foundation has hired Lexi Oestreich as an administrative assistant.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in public health at Minnesota State University Moorhead. She previously worked in customer service for Essentia Health.
