Review: Anita Active sports bra well made

FARGO – A return to the gym in January meant the need for a new sports bra.

The two I’d found at Kohl’s just weren’t, well, holding up anymore. They weren’t even the right size, but they were the closest I could get at a department store.

If you wear anything larger than a 38DD, your best bet is to order online.

As somewhat of a bra connoisseur, I’d heard of the Anita Active brand but hadn’t given it a try, until I received a press release offering a sample.

I picked the company’s best-selling sports bra, the Air Control Wire-Free Maximum Control Sports Bra, in orange. It’s available in sizes 32-42, C-G and retails for $67 at lingerie site Bare Necessities.

The Air Control is an obviously well-constructed sports bra, made with a light, breathable mesh material.

I felt secure on the elliptical without feeling like I was wearing a straitjacket, and the flexible bra moved with me during strength training.

I can see why it’s a best-seller. I may just have to order another.
