Letter: Congratulations to CVS for tobacco stanceLast week CVS decided to stop selling tobacco products in all its stores. This is a heroic decision, and I intend to shop there to show my support.
But, of course, it is a completely logical decision. What kind of message does it send when a pharmacy sells tobacco products on the right side and tobacco cessation aids on the left? I commend CVS for putting the health of the public first, and setting a great example for corporate America.
This is also a fitting way to recognize the 50th anniversary of the surgeon general’s announcement on the harm of tobacco.
