Dayton home after surgeryST. PAUL - Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton returned to his official state residence in St. Paul Friday after hip surgery.
His spokesman said Dayton met with his senior staff early Friday afternoon.
The 67-year-old governor had been in Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., since doctors reattached a hip tendon Monday. His mobility will be limited for months while he wears a brace, but he has said that will not stop him from doing his job as governor and running for re-election.
