Fargo mother accused of child endangerment, dealing pot
Brandy Nicole Fleischfresser, 28, was charged in Cass County District Court Friday with one count of Class B felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and one count of Class C felony child endangerment, as well as one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.
Court documents filed with the case say police served a search warrant to look for narcotics just before 2 p.m. Thursday at Fleischfresser’s apartment, at 1341 4th Ave. S.
Fleischfresser was at home with three of her four children, who are 1, 2, and 4 years old. The fourth child, who is 8, was at school at the time, court documents say.
The children were unclothed and very dirty, according to a police report, and the apartment was not clean, with items all over the floor and the pungent scent of marijuana throughout the place.
Razor blades were left lying out on a computer desk and on a chair, which placed them within reach of even the baby, the report says.
There were also two marijuana “roaches” on the computer desk, and a marijuana pipe with residue on a living room computer stand, also within reach of the children.
Police found 192 grams of four individually bagged portions of marijuana stored in the same kitchen island as the baby’s bottles.
They also found several scales with drug residue and a safe with $1,310 in it.
Fleischfresser told police she knew nothing about the large amount of marijuana, and only used the drug occasionally, and never in front of the children.
All four children, including the 8-year-old at school, were taken into custody of Child Protective Services.
Fleischfresser was arrested and her bail was set at $500. Her next court appearance is set for March 12.
