UMD women score overtime win over UND

DULUTH, Minn. – Minnesota-Duluth rallied from a two-goal deficit to force overtime and eventually come away with a 3-2 win over the University of North Dakota in a shootout in women’s Western Collegiate Hockey Association play Sunday.

Andrea Dalen and Becca Kohler scored second-period goals to help UND (17-7-4, 14-6-4 WCHA) jump out to a 2-0 lead.

Hannah Bramm knotted the game up for the Bulldogs (13-11-6, 11-9-6) with a third-period score.

FIRST PERIOD: No scoring.

SECOND PERIOD: 1, UND, Dalen (Salo, Kohler), 7:15. 2, UND, Kohler (Jakobsen, Hirschy), 10:56 (pp). 3, UMD, Brulalluk (Morin), 11:38.

THIRD PERIOD: 4, UMD, Bramm (Stauber, McParland), 16:00.

OVERTIME: No scoring.

SHOOTOUT: UMD wins 2-1.
