Zabel's 17 points pace MSUM women in win

MOORHEAD – Senior forward Morgan Zabel scored 17 points to help lead Minnesota State Moorhead to a 74-62 victory against St. Cloud State in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference women’s basketball at Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse.

The Dragons (13-8, 9-8 NSIC) have won three consecutive games, moving into a tie for fourth place with St. Cloud State in the North Division. The top four teams in each division earn a home game for the first round of the NSIC tournament.

“All these games, they are just getting bigger and bigger and bigger,” Dragons head coach Karla Nelson said. “That makes (today’s) game even bigger. It doesn’t get any easier.”
