Letter: Snow is managed poorly in FargoWhat is wrong with the Fargo Street Department? Don’t they realize that there are sidewalks on both sides of 45th Street instead of one?
Some sidewalks are cleaned on both sides, but the rest is left untouched. This goes for businesses, also. We cannot walk in front of them if they aren’t cleaned off.
The intersections are a mess, too. We can only get across to the center, then have to climb over the snow bank to get to the sidewalk.
On 42nd Street, there is a pedestrian crossing area in front of West Winds apartments that is not shoveled properly. To get to the sidewalk across the street, a person has to walk on the street. The correct stop is not blown out correctly, either.
This goes on year after year. Clearing sidewalks is something that should be done routinely after each storm.
