Style Profile: Classic style for child therapist
The 29-year-old child therapist with The Village Family Service Center in Moorhead favors classic pieces that flatter her body.
I spotted Medenwald in her office wearing a streamlined ensemble that was topped with a splash of color from a bright scarf and bold blazer.
Describe your style. It’s pretty classic. I’m not very daring and don’t usually follow trends. It’s simple with a little something.
What are you wearing today? Nine West heels, Gap jeans, a NikiBiki cami, blazer from Chico’s, scarf from Target and a Victoria’s Secret bracelet.
What’s your style philosophy? Wear what you feel good in and what’s comfortable for you.
Where do you like to shop? Chico’s, Talbots, Macy’s and LOT 2029.
Where do you get style inspiration? I read magazines, and I’m a window shopper.
Who’s your style icon? I like the vintage-classic styles of Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe.
I also like Princess Kate’s (Middleton) style.
What item in your closet would you never get rid of? I continue to hold onto a pair of animal print heels (zebra-print) from White House Black Market. You never know when you’ll need them.
I’d also never get rid of a simple black leather handbag.
What’s your shopping style? I’m a browser. I find pieces I like and put them together at home. I rarely buy a whole outfit at one time.
Sometimes, it takes months to find what I’m looking for, but I’m patient and wait until I find exactly what I want.
What do you splurge on? Bags and shoes. I pounce on things when they fit!
