Francis earns master’s degree in photography

Dan Francis of Dan Francis Photography in Fargo has earned a master’s degree through Professional Photographers of America.

Francis, one of only two PPA master photographers in the Fargo area, was awarded for superior photographic skills demonstrated through the PPA International Photographic Competition, advanced education and service to the industry.


Morris awarded GIS Professional credential

Cinde Morris, a geographic information system specialist at Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services of Fargo, has been awarded certification as a GIS Professional by the GIS Certification Institute.

The GISP certification recognizes expertise in the geospatial (computer mapping) industry and identifies recipients as competent and trustworthy.


David Kruse attends Hearing Innovation Expo

David Kruse of Sheyenne Hearing Services, West Fargo, recently attended the Hearing Innovation Expo in Las Vegas that hosted more than 3,400 hearing care professionals from across the world.

The three-day expo offered more than 60 presentations and courses with topics ranging from research and hearing science to patient engagement best practices.

Keynote speakers included former presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, former Fortune 20 business executive Carly Fiorina, authors Simon Sinek, Guy Kawasaki and Dan Ariely, and business magnate Donald Trump.


Schmitz earns housing development credential

Chris Schmitz with Beyond Shelter, Fargo, has received certification as a housing development finance professional from the National Development Council.

HDFP certification is a professional credential given to individuals who successfully complete NDC’s housing development finance training series which provides individuals working in the field of housing development with instruction in single-family home ownership finance, multi-family housing development finance, housing development finance including problem solving and deal structuring, and the creation and implementation of development programs.

Schmitz has been with Beyond Shelter since 2012.
