ND junior curling team falls out of first placeSEATTLE – In a battle to keep a share of first place at the USA Curling Junior Nationals tournament, Team North Dakota suffered its third straight defeat after falling 7-6 to a team from Duluth, Minn.
The loss puts Team North Dakota all alone in sixth place with a 4-3 record. Entering Wednesday night’s late matches, the Duluth team was tied for first place with a 5-2 record with Southborough, Mass.; Malvern, Pa.; Dresher, Pa. and Seattle.
Team North Dakota was scheduled to play the Malvern, Pa., team late Wednesday night.
Members of the Team North Dakota team are Branden Scheel, Tyler and Aaron Johnson and Hunter Dennison from Fargo Davies High School and Kyson Smith from Minot State University.
