Weekend Watch: Candlelight ski
After a week that saw the temperature fluctuate from 20 degrees below zero to 20 degrees above zero, this weekend should present more moderate weather with temps in the teens. If you’re a cross-country skier, celebrate with candlelight ski Saturday evening. Starting at 6 p.m., families and friends can take to the trails at Minnesota state University Moorhead Regional Science Center/Buffalo River State Park, 565 155th St. S.,
Glyndon, Minn. The 1 1/4 miles of paths will be groomed and lit with candles, offering a warm appreciation for skiers and snow shoers. When you’re done, stop in the warming house to enjoy the fire and with a hot drink. This event is open to all experience levels with equipment available for rent. Ski passes are $6 a day or $20 for a year. (218) 498-2124.
