Mitchell is 2014 artist-in-residence at NDSUFARGO – Renowned ceramic artist Megan Mitchell is sharing her talent and expertise with North Dakota State University visual arts students and the public as the 2014 James Rosenquist artist-in-residence.
Mitchell will be teaching a pre-sculpture course and work with printmaking classes at NDSU. She will also present a workshop, “Take Printmaking to a New Dimension” on Friday and Saturday at Renaissance Hall 314. She will also give a lecture at 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 6 at Renaissance Hall that is free and open to the public.

A native of New Hampshire, Mitchell earned a bachelor’s degree in painting and printmaking at Carleton College, Northfield, Minn., and a master’s degree in ceramics from Utah State University. She was an apprentice at Whitefish (Mont.) Pottery and Hoyman-Browe Studio, Ukiah, Calif.
