Letter: Enclosed airport tunnel would be cheaper optionSeems to me there is a much less expensive solution to the parking issue at the airport than building a parking ramp and still provide a more comfortable walk to the airport (Forum editorial, Jan. 22).
If you were to build a tunnel or an enclosed sky-way with several exit/entrances, you could walk in a protected environment to the terminal facility. The protected walkway could be enhanced with motorized walkways, and it would still be a fraction of the cost of building a ramp.
The outlying land could be developed with hotels, as well, and be connected to this walkway, giving travelers the ability to walk to their hotels.
