'Well over' a dozen rollovers reported on Highway 10 and Interstate 94 east of MoorheadMOORHEAD – The Minnesota State Patrol reported several accidents in the region Friday because of slippery roadways.
Sgt. Jesse Grabow estimated there were “well over” 12 rollover accidents and about 50 other incidents of vehicles sliding off the roadway on Highway 10 between Moorhead and Staples and Interstate 94 between Moorhead and Alexandria.
Several people were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
One person who was not wearing a seat belt was ejected from a vehicle in an accident.
Grabow said the accidents started “piling up” after 4 p.m. due to dangerous road conditions.
“The roads have been deteriorating with the snow, and the wind picks up and just compounds everything,” he said.
