Fargo man pleads guilty to abandoning babyFARGO – A man accused of ditching his baby in a stroller in a busy business driveway in order to flee police has pleaded guilty.
Kenneth Eagleman, 26, of Fargo pleaded guilty Friday in Cass County District Court to a single count of felony child abuse or neglect.
Eagleman was sentenced to six months and 13 days in jail, plus a year and a half of supervised probation.
Court documents filed in the case state Eagleman, who had been reported for trespassing at a local store and was wanted on arrest warrants, was pushing a 2-year-old girl in a stroller in the Blue Cross/Blue Shield parking lot.
When a Fargo police officer yelled at him to stop, Eagleman took off running, leaving the child in the business’s driveway.
