Bledsoe, Evenson named financial reps

Jared Bledsoe and Maggie Evenson have been named financial representative at Northwestern Mutual in Fargo.

Bledsoe previously was the head women’s junior varsity basketball coach and assistant women’s basketball coach at Concordia College. He is a native of Memphis, Tenn., and he received a bachelor’s degree in mass communications and public relations and advertising from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Evenson previously was with Sanford in Fargo as a nurse assistant. She is originally from Hillsboro, N.D., and she earned a bachelor’s degree in management from MSUM.


Credit union hires Peter as PR specialist

Alycia Peter has joined Town & Country Credit Union as a public relations specialist at the branch at 815 25th St. S., Fargo

Peter graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications with an emphasis in public relations. She previously worked for Rasmussen College and has more than 10 years of sales and marketing experience.


Fong joins Odney as public affairs specialist

Former North Dakota Tax Commissioner Cory Fong has joined Odney as public affairs senior specialist.

Fong joins former North Dakota Commerce Commissioner Shane Goettle, who is Odney’s public affairs director. Odney is a full-service advertising and marketing agency with offices in Bismarck, Minot, Fargo and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Fong was appointed tax commissioner in 2005 by then-Gov. John Hoeven and went on to be elected in 2006 and again in 2010. Before serving as tax commissioner, he served as the deputy commissioner for the North Dakota Department of Commerce, deputy Secretary of State, director of elections and deputy director of the state Republican party. He also directed Hoeven’s first successful re-election campaign in 2004.

During his time as tax commissioner, Fong also was elected to serve as chairman of the Multistate Tax Commission and president of the Federation of Tax Administrators.


ND Association of Builders hires Austin

The North Dakota Association of Builders has hired Heather Austin as the office and communications coordinator.

Austin is a Mandan, N.D., native and previously worked for five years with the Bismarck-Mandan Chamber of Commerce and the past two years with Center for Technology and Business.

She is a graduate of the University of Mary and she has a background in marketing and communications and non-profit programming and services.

The NDAB represents local associations in Bismarck-Mandan, Williston, Minot, Dickinson, Fargo and Grand Forks.


Flores joins Carrington extension center

Joao Paulo Flores has joined North Dakota State University’s Carrington Research Extension Center as a nutrient management specialist.

He previously served as project researcher at Virginia Tech University where his project addressed forage quality and soil fertility on pasture-based beef systems for Appalachia.

Flores earned a doctorate degree in soil science from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil.

Flores will lead NDSU’s Discovery Farm project, which gathers water quality information from operating farms to better understand how enterprise management influences water quality.


Medical center names acting administrator

Nikki Johnson, a registered nurse at the Cooperstown (N.D.) Medical Center, has been appointed acting administrator of the center.

Johnson is currently working to obtain her long-term care administrators license through the North Dakota Administrator-in-Training program. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Jamestown (N.D.) College.


Kahly promoted at Northwestern Bank

Northwestern Bank has promoted Heather Kahly to retail banking officer at the Dilworth location.

Kahly is a native of Moorhead and she earned a degree at Montana State University, Bozeman. She has two years of banking experience and started her banking career as a customer service representative.

Accounting company hires Njoki, Shao

Owen Njoki and Pan Shao have joined the staff of Fiebiger, Swanson, West & Co. as staff accountants.

Njoki graduated from North Dakota State University with a master’s of accountancy degree. He is a certified public accountant and will be working in the firm’s Fargo office.

Shao graduated from NDSU with a master’s of accountancy degree. She is also a CPA and will be working in the company’s Moorhead office.


Kassian named market analyst at CHS Hedging

CHS Hedging, a full-service brokerage subsidiary of CHS Inc., has appointed Harry Kassian as a market analyst serving farmers and ranchers out of its Kindred, N D., office.

Kassian also will provide ag producers with financial consulting programs as a Russell Consulting Group associate.

He has worked in the grain industry for many years and also in elevator management and farm marketing consulting. He has a Series 3 license for registered brokers.

Kassian grew up on a grain and cattle operation in central North Dakota, which he operated until joining CHS Hedging.


Sundog hires Tousignant, Bourdeaux

Sundog, Fargo, has named John Tousignant as an account manager and Paul Bourdeaux as a systems architect.

Tousignant has more than 10 years of agency experience, holding senior account executive and senior account manager positions. He previously was a sales representative at Stryker Orthopaedics.

He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in leisure management.

Bourdeaux returns to Sundog after two years as director of mobile strategy at Sycorr. Before Sycorr, he spent seven years at Sundog as team lead – mobile and senior software engineer positions.

He has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and psychology from Western Illinois University.


MBN Engineering hires Sager in Fargo office

Tony Sager has been hired as a civil engineer at MBN Engineering’s Fargo office.

He is a graduate of the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.


CoreLink Administrative Solutions hires four

CoreLink Administrative Solutions, Fargo, has hired Joseph Bosch and Whitney Flairty as business systems analysts I, Jeremy Kramer as a test engineer I and Justin Nyland as a business systems analyst I.

Bosch is a graduate of North Dakota State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural systems management and has 12 years of business experience.

Flairty has worked in health insurance for more than five years, previously with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska. She has been a contractor for CoreLink since 2012. She graduated from Bellevue (Neb.) University where she received her bachelor’s degree in health care management.

Kramer began working for Noridian Health Services in 2007, before becoming a test analyst with Noridian Mutual Insurance Co. in 2012. Kramer graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead where he received a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems. He graduated from NDSU with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Nyland has more than six years of experience in the industry working for Navteq and Nokia.


Intelligent InSites hires one, promotes one

Intelligent InSites, Fargo, has hired Heather Smith as an accountant and promoted Steve Striegel to product marketing manager.

Smith had been an accounting intern for the company since 2012. She graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Striegel joined Intelligent InSites in 2010 as a marketing intern and in 2011 was hired as a full-time employee. He graduated from NDSU with a degree in business administration.


Physician assistant joins Park Rapids clinic

Physician assistant Rose Haroldson has joined the family medicine department at the Essentia Health Clinic, Park Rapids, Minn.

She previously practiced at Essentia’s clinics in Walker and Menahga, Minn.

Haroldson earned a degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, Des Moines, Iowa.


Sarbaum, Graff hired at TMI Hospitality

TMI Hospitality, Fargo, has hired Holly Sarbaum as a payroll specialist and Carissa Graff as a human resources generalist.

Sarbaum has worked in the accounting and payroll industries for the past five years.

Graff graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She previously worked as a human resources generalist for Integrity Windows and as a recruiter for SEI, both in Fargo.


Andrud promoted to shareholder at law firm

Lukas D. Andrud has been promoted to shareholder of the Ohnstad Twichell law firm. The firm operates offices in West Fargo, Hillsboro and Casselton, N.D.

Andrud joined the firm in 2008 and practices in the West Fargo office. He concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate, oil, gas and water law.

He graduated from Concordia College and received his law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law.

Before joining Ohnstad Twichell, he served as a law clerk for the Seventh Judicial District of Kansas, and then he worked as a landman involved in oil and gas leasing in western North Dakota.

Ohnstad Twichell also has elected officers for 2014. Those elected include: Marshall W. McCullough, president; John T. Shockley, vice president; Ross V. Keller, secretary; and Christopher M. McShane, treasurer.
