Former Moorhead nursing home worker sentenced for drug possessionMOORHEAD – A former nursing home worker has been sentenced after pleading guilty to drug possession.
Laura Beth Aanstad, 31, of Fargo was sentenced to a month in jail, plus five years’ probation after pleading guilty to a single count of fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance, a felony.
Nine other felony drug possession charges were dropped as part of her plea agreement.
Court documents say the nursing director at the Golden Living Center called police to report someone had broken into the medicine cabinet in the nurses’ station. Documents say that Aanstad tested positive for the three of the missing drugs.
