Weekend Watch: Ethel and Robert Mirabal
Electric string quartet Ethel has made a name for itself partnering with rock acts like former Talking Head David Byrne and Todd Rundgren. This week the New York ensemble goes even more unconventional with Robert Mirbal, a Pueblo Indian flutist. The pairing presents “Music of the Sun,” music inspired by Native American mythology. The music starts at 7:30 p.m. at Gaede Stage at Minnesota State University Moorhead’s Roland Dille Center for the Arts. Tickets are $28 for adults, $24 for seniors and $12 for students with student ID. (218) 477-2271.
