Fargo Star entry deadline extendedFARGO – The entry deadline for The Forum’s eighth annual Fargo Star singing competition has been extended by a week.
Local vocalists of any age must register and submit a video showcasing their singing talents by midnight on Friday, Jan. 24. Submissions can feature a cappella singing or performing with a backing track, solo or instrumental accompaniment.
The song choice can be from any genre of music, but songs with offensive or lewd material won’t be accepted.
Contestants will be randomly divided into three groups for voting on The Forum’s AreaVoices site. The top two vote-getters in each group will automatically advance to the final live performance, while the remaining contestants’ videos will get a second chance for another round of voting that will pick four more finalists.
The 10 finalists will perform a song of their choice in front of a live audience at The Venue on March 22 with backing band Post Traumatic Funk Syndrome.
