Thomas Douglas Moynan was arrested without incident and was charged Friday with felony possession of a controlled substance.
Police said they acted on tips from sources about a growing operation and entered the home with a search warrant at about 7 p.m. The home is split into two apartments, and detectives said they found that a large portion of the living area in Moynan’s apartment was being used to grow marijuana. Along with the 130 plants, police said they seized marijuana packaged for sale. They estimated the value of the marijuana at $80,000.
The operation was dismantled.
Deputy Police Chief Terry Hill said marijuana operation busts are uncommon for his department.
