Classes in Fargo, West Fargo, Moorhead, D-G-F canceled; NDSU, MSUM, Concordia classes canceled

FARGO – All classes and after-school activities in Fargo, West Fargo, Moorhead and Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton public and nonpublic schools, including community education classes, are canceled Thursday because of predicted blizzard conditions.

All classes at North Dakota State University, Concordia College and Minnesota State University Moorhead are also canceled Thursday.

Fargo plans to make up the day on April 17. Moorhead plans to make up the day on May 30.

The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning, effective through 9 p.m. Thursday.

The blizzard isn’t expected to set any records for added snow, but it might be the hardest-blowing blast of cold air we’ve seen so far this year.

“It’s not the worst we’ve had, but it’ll probably be the worst we’ve had this winter,” WDAY chief meteorologist John Wheeler said of the predicted 50 mph gusts.

Wheeler didn’t expect much in the way of snow accumulation, probably under an inch from Wednesday night, into Thursday.
