Moorhead man sentenced to 6 months in home invasion case

MOORHEAD – A Moorhead man was sentenced to serve six months in jail and up to 20 years of probation for his part in a home invasion shooting and high-speed chase here in August.

Trei Hobert Patrick Johnson, 21, was sentenced Monday in Clay County District Court, with credit for two days served. He can serve the sentence on work release once he finds a job, under the terms set by Judge Michelle Lawson.

Johnson pleaded guilty in December to one count of felony first-degree bur-glary for his role in an August home invasion with three other men that led to gunshots being fired in the victims’ home and ended in a high-speed police chase.

Two other charges against Johnson were dropped as part of the plea deal. Two other men who have pleaded guilty in the case haven’t been sentenced yet.
