Trade Talk: Bridal store set to open on Broadway

FARGO – Business partners Nicole Gruchow and Brittany Beauchene are set to open a new bridal store on Broadway.

The store, Your Day by Nicole, 102 Broadway, Suite 103, aims to take care of pretty much “anything and everything bridal related,” said Gruchow, who has 11 years of experience in the fine-jewelry industry designing and creating custom wedding rings and engagement sets.

“We’re going to be offering more than just gowns for maids and brides,” Gruchow said. “We’re going to offer men’s tuxedos for rent and purchase and fine jewelry.”

Those offerings and the store’s connections to talented photographers and videographers means the boutique can cover most nuptial bases, she said.

“We can get you engaged and married and out the door,” Gruchow said. They are working to open the store by Wednesday.

For more information, visit the store’s Facebook page or call (701) 478-1970, a phone number Gruchow said should be working by the time the store opens.

Satisfying survey

A Fargo Pizza Ranch customer, Barb Hennemann, recently received some heart-warming news when she learned she and a guest would receive a free trip to Mexico, courtesy of Pizza Ranch.

The timing was fortuitous. Hennemann had been wondering what to get her husband for his birthday, said Dean Larson, who manages the Pizza Ranch in Fargo and one in Dilworth.

The five-day trip to Cabo San Lucas is valued at $3,500.

Hennemann was eligible for the giveaway because she filled out a customer satisfaction survey, something Larson said Pizza Ranch takes seriously.

“If they (customers) like everything we’re doing, we’re going to keep doing it. If they don’t like something, we’re going to look at it and try to change it,” Larson said.

Customers at any of the 175 or so Pizza Ranches nationwide who fill out surveys between now and Feb. 28 may still earn a chance at winning their own trip to Mexico, he said.

“As I’m looking out at the snow and the cold, I’m going, ‘That would be nice, to look at a nice ocean,’ ” Larson said.

College showcase

Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Moorhead will showcase its business programs during an event on Jan. 28.

The school will highlight its college programs in accounting, administrative assistant, administrative support, human resources, management and marketing and sales.

The event is from 9 a.m. to noon and will include demonstrations, presentations and panel discussions by current students.

Lunch will be provided.

Area high school teachers are invited to bring students to the event, but individuals may also attend on their own.
