Namedroppers (Jan. 12)MSUM NEWS: Minnesota State University Moorhead has awarded scholarships to Rebecca Lind and Sarah Pressley.
Lind, daughter of Keith and Diana Lind, Moorhead, was awarded an $8,000 President’s Honors Scholarship. The scholarship awards $2,000 for the freshman year and requires a high school class rank in the top five percent and a score of 28 or above on the ACT exam. It’s renewable for four years with a 3.5 grade point average.
Pressley, daughter of Sharon Pressley, Fargo, was awarded a $4,000 University Scholarship. The scholarship awards $1,000 for the freshman year and is given to students admitted to MSUM with a composite ACT score of 24-25 and a high school rank in the top 50 percent, or a composite ACT score of 21-23 and a high school class rank in the top 10 percent. It’s renewable for a maximum of four years with a 3.5 grade point average.
HONOR SOCIETIES: The following seniors at the University of Jamestown were recently inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International nursing honor society and the Xi-Kappa Chapter-at-Large: Katie Bjertness, Kindred, N.D.; Kalai Lundquist, Gardner, N.D.; Kelsey Smith, Amenia, N.D.; and Whitney Streifel, West Fargo.
