Wanzek Construction promotes 1, hires 3

Wanzek Construction, Fargo, has promoted David Fenderlander to division safety manager and has hired Heather Leith as talent acquisition manager, James Stark as senior project manager and Dave Williams as information technology support analyst.

Fenderlander has been with Wanzek since 2011 and has over seven years of experience in the safety industry. He has a bachelor’s degree in health science and a master’s degree in occupational safety and health, environmental management.

Leith has over eight years of human resources experience and was previously employed as a human resource manager for Vogel Law Firm. Leith has a bachelor’s degree in human services from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and a Professional in Human Resources certification.

Stark has over 16 years of construction industry experience and will be located out of the Houston office. He has a construction management degree from Lamar State College, Orange, Texas.

Williams has nine years of information technology experience. He has a bachelor’s degree in information systems from Minnesota State University Moorhead.


Bliss hires Fuller as massage therapist

Bliss Massage Therapy by Bodyworks Physical Therapy in Fargo has hired Heather Fuller as a licensed massage therapist,

Fuller has seven years of massage experience. Originally from Edgeley, N.D., she graduated from the Sister Rosalind Gefre School of Massage in Fargo. Se he has worked as a massage therapist and taught massage therapy in the Fargo area since 2007.


BCBSND hires Vastag and Bergh

Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota in Fargo has hired John Vastag as director of health and medical transformation and Lacey Berg as director of clinical wellness in its health network innovation division.

Vastag previously worked at Sanford Health in Fargo as the executive director of the health policy consortium and as the director of legislative affairs.

He was born in Hebron, N.D., and earned a bachelor’s degree in special education from Minot (N.D.) State University.

Bergh previously worked for Sanford Health as director of clinic operations, internal medicine and gastroenterology.

She grew up in Hunter, N.D., and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from North Dakota State University.


American Federal Bank recognizes 5 as officers

Five employees of American Federal Bank have been recognized with officer designations. Those receiving increased officer designations are:

Derek Holt, ag and business banker, vice president, Hallock, Minn.;

Alison Perez, personal banker, assistant vice president, Grand Forks;

Jeremy Remily, personal banker, assistant vice president, Wahpeton;

Kristen Peterson, home office client services department operations manager, assistant vice president, Fargo.

Beth Schmidt, personal banker, Moorhead, has been named a new officer.

Scoville promoted to mortgage loan officer

Angie Scoville has been promoted to mortgage loan officer at Western State Bank, Fargo.

She has been with Western since 2003 and served in previous positions including business banking assistant, cash management officer and personal banking officer/mortgage loan officer.

Originally from West Fargo, she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead.


First State Bank of ND hires loan officer

First State Bank of North Dakota has added Breanne Carlson to its lending staff in Lisbon.

Carlson has eight years of banking experience, most recently as a loan officer position at First National Bank, Lisbon.


Schlichting promoted at Bell State Bank & Trust

Keely Schlichting has been promoted to vice president/mortgage loan officer at Bell State Bank & Trust, 3100 13th Ave. S.

Originally from Anamoose, N.D., Schlichting has been with Bell State Bank & Trust for 14 years, most recently as the mortgage processing manager.


Landecker hired as principle land surveyor

Wenck Associates, Inc. has hired David Landecker as principle land surveyor. Landecker is a licensed land surveyor in Minnesota and North Dakota with 35 years of experience in numerous phases of land development and surveys.

His previous experience includes positions with Landecker and Associates, Crow Wing County and most recently as technical manager of surveys at Ulteig Engineers for the Detroit Lakes, Minn., and North Dakota offices.

Wenck operates offices in Minnesota offices, North Dakota, Georgia and Wyoming. Landecker will be working in the Fargo office.


Siewert joins Bethany Social Services

Shawna Siewert has been named a social worker for the 38-bed skilled nursing addition at Bethany Retirement Living, Fargo.

She will be involved in ongoing resident assessment, developing residents’ plans of care and communicating with residents and family members regarding care provided at Bethany on 42nd in Fargo.

A Grand Forks native, she earned an associate’s degree at Northland Community and Technical College, East Grand Forks Minn. She is also a graduate of the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, where she received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in social work.

Siewert completed internships at Lutheran Social Services/Luther Hall and at Youthworks of North Dakota, both in Fargo. Prior to joining Bethany she worked in individual and family services at Youthworks.


Agent hired at First International Insurance

Ben Elias has joined First International Insurance as an agent at the Osgood location at 4554 38th Ave. S., Fargo.

A native of Cannon Falls, Minn., Elias moved to Fargo from Michigan in September.


Red River Broadcasting announces changes

Red River Broadcast, the parent company of KVRR FOX TV in Fargo, has announced recent management changes.

Ro Grignon has retired as president. He had been with the company for more than 20 years.

Before coming to Fargo, he had a lengthy career in station management and was one of the creators of the television program “Entertainment Tonight.”

Kathy Lau, formerly the station’s vice president and general manager, has been promoted to chief operating officer.

She has worked for Red River Broadcast since 1986. She previously worked in city in county government.

In addition to Fargo station, the media group owns TV stations in Sioux Falls, S.D., and Duluth, Minn., as well as 25 radio stations in northern Minnesota and Wisconsin.


Enventis hires Beckius

Brett Beckius has joined regional telecommunications company Enventis in Fargo as a multi-dwelling sales representative.

Beckius has over five years of sales experience.


Johnson joins Absolute Marketing Group

Absolute Marketing Group, Fargo, has hired Loren Johnson as a graphic designer.

A native of New London, Minn., Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design at Concordia College. He completed design and marketing internships with Green Sneakers in Wahpeton, N.D., and at Absolute Marketing Group before joining the company full time.


John Deere Electronic Solutions hires one

John Deere Electronic Solutions, Fargo, has hired David Zellmann as accounting supervisor.

Zellmann earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Winona (Minn.) State University.


Keller joins Network Center

John Keller has joined the NetWork Center, Fargo, as a network systems analyst.

Keller earned associate degrees in nuclear power technology and computer support at Bismarck State College and has two years of professional experience.


Lee joins West Fargo Gate City Bank

Michael Lee has joined Gate City Bank’s Veterans Boulevard office where he will serve as mortgage loan officer/assistant vice president.

Lee has worked for Gate City Bank for 11 years, most recently as office manager of the Wahpeton, N.D., location.

Lee earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration at North Dakota State University.


Pediatric Therapy Partners hires Lonn

Pediatric Therapy Partners, Fargo, has hired Dana Lonn as office manager.

Lonn has worked within the medical field in such roles as radiation therapist and supervisor since 2004.


Early Intervention Partners hires Thursday

Early Intervention Partners, Fargo, has hired Rachel Thurs as front office/screening coordinator.

Thurs earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood special education from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. She has experience working as an early childhood special education teacher and in early intervention services.


Fitz joins Town & Country Credit Union

Town & Country Credit Union has hired Kevin Fitz as vice president of business lending.

Fitz will work from the location at 1501 32nd Ave. S. in Fargo.

A native of West St. Paul, Fitz earned degrees in law, banking and commercial lending from St. John’s University and the American Institute of Banking.

He has more than 25 years of banking experience, most recently as a commercial lender in West Fargo.


Stenehjem promoted at Bell State Bank & Trust

Matt Stenehjem has been promoted to bank secrecy act/ fraud/ security officer at Bell State Bank & Trust at its 3100 13th Ave. S. location in Fargo.

A native of Grand Forks, Stenehjem earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mayville (N.D.) State University and has been with the bank for five years.


Fraser Ltd. hires Anderson

Denise Anderson has been hired as food service supervisor at Fraser Ltd.

Anderson has 10 years of food service experience including as a cook at North Dakota State University and as a catering lead for Microsoft Dining Services.


Bruns joins Essentia as otolaryngologist

Dr. Alan D. Bruns has joined Essentia Health’s South University Clinic in Fargo as a board-certified otolaryngologist in the ear, nose and throat department.

Bruns earned his medical degree from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, Md. He completed his residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu and has over 25 years of experience.
