Park Christian football coach resigns after three seasons

FARGO - Moorhead Park Christian football coach Dan Kowalski said Wednesday he has resigned from his coaching position in order to focus on his full-time job.

"My job required me to step away, unfortunately," Kowalski said. "It was a difficult decision for me, but I was the one that made the call and had total support from the school."

Kowalski said trying to balance his job as a sales consultant for a national printing company with coaching just wasn't working.

"Trying to manage the commitment that it takes to be a head football coach with your other job was pretty difficult," Kowalski said. "I was able to do it for three years, but I could not continue to sacrifice my job career for coaching. I have to do my full-time job. Nobody makes a living in high school just coaching."

Kowalski went 12-16 in his three seasons with Park Christian.
