Tuesday tip: String necklaces through straws to keep them from tanglingFARGO – Untangling necklaces that have become intertwined can be an arduous process that requires good vision and dexterous fingers.
If you store your necklaces in the drawer of a jewelry box, as I do, it can be a process that needs to be repeated often.
One way I’ve found to keep necklaces from tangling together is to string them through plastic straws.
Simply slip the chain through one opening of the straw and invert the straw until the chain comes out the other end. Or, if you want to make sure the chain won’t slip out of the straw, unclasp the chain, string one end through the straw, and then clasp the chain closed.
