Travel alert issued for eastern North DakotaBlowing snow and icy roads prompted the North Dakota Department of Transportation to issue a travel alert Sunday afternoon for the eastern part of the state from U.S. Highway 2 to Interstate 94. Motorists are urged to slow down and drive safely.
Devils Lake, Grand Forks, Jamestown and Valley City are included in the alert. Drivers can still travel in these areas but should know that conditions can change quickly.
A travel alert is still in effect for southwest North Dakota because of blowing snow that's causing reduced visibility. Beach, Dickinson, Mott, Hettinger and Bowman are covered by the alert.
